Licensing SLightS3

You may download a trial version of SLightS3 from the product information page or from the My Licenses section of your account if you have already purchased licensing.  Product licenses are valid for all revisions within the same major version of the product so updates within the same major version can be performed without obtaining a new license.

The trial version of SLightS3 does have some restrictions, and is meant for evaluation only.  When you're ready to purchase a license, simply click the Buy Now button from the product information page.  Once you complete the checkout process, you will be able to generate a new license from the My Account area by choosing My Licenses from the menu and clicking on the Available link.

NOTE:  License keys are based in part on the information you specify.  Once you've generated a license key you will not be able to modify the information.  It is very important that you enter the correct information when generating your license.  We recommend using the trial license included with the product trial download for development and only generating your license key when you are ready to use the product in a live environment.  Once you've purchased your license(s) they will be available from your admin area to generate (or re-download previously generated licenses) at any time by logging in.

Once you've generated your license you will be given the option to download the license file which is in XML format.  It's very important that you don't modify or rename this file after download.  The download page will display the proper file name.  Once downloaded, replace the XML license file that was included with your trial download.  Since SLightS3 is a silverlight class library, your license file should be placed in your /clientBin folder alongside (but not in) your XAP package.  The SLightS3 class library will automatically detect the license information when you run your application.  If you are having difficulty with the updated license file, try clearing your browser cache to ensure that an older cached version of the license is not being used.
